I am curious if anyone is working on (or knows of research on) tissue phosphorus concentrations in starry stonewort, or phosphorus uptake by SSW? I’m assuming SSW uses mostly dissolved P from the surrounding water?
The P concentration in my lake is not tracking in the same directions as P loading, so I was curious to how much of a phosphorus sink is SSW.
